Artist, Austrian, 1652 - 1730

The sketch depicts three figures in a flowing, undefined space. Two of the figures have a partial view of their bodies shown, while the third is a more full-length figure situated more toward the center and slightly to the right. The central figure appears to be seated with legs bent and arms crossed or placed across the lap. The facial features of the figures are not detailed, and their hair is loosely rendered. The clothing of the figures is loosely draped with flowing lines and fabric. There are no distinct ornaments or objects in their hands. The background features soft, fluid strokes and shapes creating an abstract atmosphere. The overall composition is in earthy tones, light to darker maroon shades, giving a warm tone to the artwork.
