Recorded as from New York. (The Primitives Gallery of Harry Stone, New York, by 1942).[1] Purchased in 1950 by Edgar William and Bernice Chrysler Garbisch;[2] gift to NGA, 1953.
[1] In which year it was included in an "Exhibition of One Hundred and Fifty Years of American Primitives," at The Primitives Gallery, no. 36. [2] The Garbisch records do not indicate whether it was Stone or another dealer who sold them the picture.
