Across the Nation
We're sending art across America. See highlights from the National Gallery's collection at 10 museums in 10 states, from Connecticut to Alaska.
Across the Nation is a national program advancing the National Gallery’s founding mission to serve all Americans by sharing the nation’s art collection beyond Washington, DC. Across the Nation enables museums across the United States to present significant works from the National Gallery’s collection at no cost to participating institutions, while fostering deep, collaborative partnerships in education, conservation, scholarship, and programming. Through program cycles and a growing network of partner museums, Across the Nation expands public access to art, strengthens museums across the country, and ensures millions of people can engage meaningfully with the national collection in their own communities.
The Across the Nation program is made possible through the generous support of the Mitchell P. Rales Family Foundation.
