This series gathers five of the best-known film adaptations by Andzrej Wajda, the most significant and widely recognized director to emerge from Poland after World War II. Timed to the centennial of his birth, the series demonstrates not only Wajda’s immense skill as a filmmaker but also his deep connection to Poland’s historic literature.
