Overview: 13 figure and compositional studies by artists from the 15th through the 20th century included work by Raphael, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso. The exhibition was part of the continuous series of changing exhibitions of works of art from the Armand Hammer collection.

Organization: Margaret Morgan Grasselli, curator of old master drawings at the National Gallery, coordinated the exhibition.
