Overview: 31 photographs by American photographer Nicholas Nixon depicting his wife and her 3 sisters were shown in the exhibition. The 8 x 10 black-and-white photographs, part of the National Gallery of Art's collection, were taken from 1975 to 2005 and present the women standing in the same order from left to right. The photographs were hung in a grid of columns and rows on one wall of the gallery.
Organization: The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art, Washington. Sarah Greenough, curator and head of the department of photographs, was the curator.
