Overview: This exhibition was selected from the collections of the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Institution, and the National Gallery to present a survey of American graphic art. Included were a 1590 copy of engravings by Theodor de Bry, based on John White's watercolor drawings of Indians in Virginia; the Paul Revere 1770 engraving of the Boston massacre; Currier and Ives prints; and works by modern artists.
