Overview: 52 paintings, 53 drawings, and 51 etchings, with additional impressions of many prints, were arranged by medium in 3 sections.
Organization: Commemorating the 300th anniversary of the death of Claude Lorrain, the exhibition was organized jointly by the National Gallery with the Musée du Louvre through the Réunion des musées nationaux. H. Diane Russell was coordinator at the Gallery and Pierre Rosenberg in Paris. Gaillard Ravenel and Mark Leithauser designed the exhibition, and Gordon Anson designed the lighting for the National Gallery.
