Overview: 100 drawings from 30 lenders were selected by A.W.F.M. Meij and J.A. Poot of the Museum Boymans-van Beuningen in Rotterdam, where the exhibition was first shown. It followed the publication of the catalogue raisonné of the drawings of Jacques de Gheyn, based on the doctoral thesis and a lifetime of research by J.Q. van Regteren Altena.

Organization: Andrew Robison was coordinator at the National Gallery.

Sponsor: The exhibition was supported by an indemnity from the United States Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities.
