Dutch Figure Drawings from the Seventeenth Century

Overview: 100 watercolors and drawings represented figure studies by Rembrandt van Rijn, Hendrik Goltzius, Willem Buytewech, Jacques de Gheyn, and their contemporaries.
 

Organization: The works were assembled by Peter Schatborn, curator of drawings at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. 3 additional works were selected from the Gallery's holdings by Andrew Robison and Arthur Wheelock Jr., in collaboration with Schatborn.

Sponsor: The catalogue was supported by a contribution from the Cultural Affairs and Information Bureau of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
