Past Exhibition
Lessing J. Rosenwald: Tribute to a Collector

Details

Overview: 100 old master and modern prints and drawings were selected from the 22,000 works collected by Lessing J. Rosenwald from the mid-1920s until his death in June 1979. This memorial exhibition honored one of the Gallery's founding benefactors and its foremost donor of graphic arts.
Organization: The exhibition and catalogue were prepared by Ruth E. Fine, curator in the Gallery's department of graphic arts, and formerly curator of the collection when it was housed in a wing of Alverthorpe, Rosenwald's home in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Gaillard Ravenel and Mark Leithauser designed the exhibition and Gordon Anson designed the lighting.
