Overview: These works by Auguste Rodin were given to the Gallery in 1942 by Mrs. John W. Simpson, a patron of Rodin. The exhibition included reduced versions in bronze of The Thinker and The Age of Bronze; the marble bust of Mrs. Simpson; and wash drawings of dancers. In addition to these 27 pieces, 6 drypoints from the Rosenwald collection were shown. The exhibition was organized by Charles Seymour Jr., reestablished as curator of sculpture after several years' absence with the War Department.
