Family Workshops

As the National Gallery of Art begins to reopen, our Family Workshops are currently on hold. For the latest information on upcoming public programs, please send your name and email address to [email protected] and we will add you to our Family Programs newsletter. For additional family-friendly programs and content that you can enjoy at home, see the National Gallery of Art Scavenger Hunt, Ten Digital Education Resources from the National Gallery of Art, and Kids West Building Tour: Featured Selections (multiple languages). We hope to see you back here soon!

Workshops provide the opportunity to explore artists’ thinking and studio practices. Taught by museum educators, each workshop includes a conversation in the galleries followed by a hands-on studio art session. Family Workshops are designed for children (ages 8–11) and adults to participate in together. See the complete listing below for topic, dates, and times. Workshops are free but preregistration is required.
