Inscription
on verso, by subject, upper center in graphite: This is the one when I was asleep. I had been in the hospital almost a month as I look kind of worn down. This picture does not do my room justice. It was all in pink and blue. I had a french telephone beside my bed on the radio that doesn't show up here. Really it is wonderful the way the hospital rooms are so cheerful and look so little like a hospital and so much like a hotel room; lower left stamped in blue ink: 239
