Evening programs return to the National Gallery of Art with an ode to all things floral. From detailed Dutch still life paintings to the bright and energetic brushstrokes of Vincent van Gogh, flowers have long been a favorite subject of visual artists. Celebrate the beauty of blossoms with an evening of art, a set from DJ Little Bacon Bear, pop-up performances from electric cellist Benjamin Gates, and making. Then, join botanical artist Emily Paluska of Revery Paper Flora as she recreates one of our paintings using handmade, whimsical paper flowers.
Don’t miss this first chance for a nighttime visit to Afro-Atlantic Histories, our major exhibition opening on April 10.
