Glenn Belverio in person
Dynamic drag queen duo Brenda and Glennda brought politics and humor off the street and into people’s living rooms in 1990s Manhattan in The Brenda and Glennda Show. This highlight will feature episodes, including Glennda and Camille Do Downtown, where Glennda Orgasm and social critic Camille Paglia stroll the streets of Manhattan, discussing the sorry state of mainstream mid ‘90s feminism (1993, 29 minutes); Equal Rights for Unborn Drag Queens, a satirical short video in which Brenda and Glennda unabashedly critique anti-abortion politics, homophobia, and religious fanaticism in the media (1992, 7 minutes); and On the Campaign Trail with Joan Jett Blakk, recorded outside the Democratic National Convention the year Joan Jett Blakk launched her infamous presidential bid (1992, 29 minutes).
