Dead Ringer is a darkly Gothic tale of estranged identical twins Edith and Margaret—one a struggling café owner and the other a wealthy widow—that makes bold use of the vast talents of icon Bette Davis.  (Paul Henreid, 1964, 115 minutes)

In Dead Ringers, Jeromy Irons is cast as Beverly and Elliot Mantle, twin gynecologists who share everything until a new patient (Geneviève Bujold) creates a vortex of confusion in this thriller inspired by the odd case of Stewart and Cyril Marcus, twin gynecologists in 1970s New York. (David Cronenberg, 1988, DCP, 116 minutes)
