Adolph Loewi Co. was a fine arts dealer which specialized in historic textiles. Loewi had a gallery in Venice and in New York. Loewi and his family left Italy in 1939 the gallery there was left in the hands of its director, Alessandro Morandotti. Morandotti moved the business to Rome and renamed it Antiquaria. It was returned to Loewi after the war, and subsequently sold, in 1950, to Morandotti. The photograph archive of the company, and its business records, are located at the Doris Stein Research and Design Center for Costumes and Textiles at the Los Angeles Museum of Art.
