Biography

The son of Sir Philip de Malpas Grey-Egerton, theyounger Philip succeeded his father as Baronet in 1881. He served a sthe local Deputy Lieutenant, and was hon. Lt.-Col. of the 4th Battalion in the Cheshire Regiment. He was also formerly Captain of the Coldstream Guards and Rifle Brigade. On 18 July 1861, he married Henrietta Elizabeth Sophia [d. 1924], daughter of the 1st Baron Londesborough. Their son, Philip Henry Brian (later Sir) succeeded his father as 12th Bt.
