Streamed December 9 through December 15

A celebrated annual event, the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) is the world’s largest festival of its kind, dedicated to the support and distribution of films on art and media arts from around the world. The festival, taking place annually in Montreal, Quebec, comprises a broad showcase of film and media productions relating to all forms of creative endeavor—from painting and sculpture to architecture, design, music, dance, fashion, art restoration, culinary art, photography, literature, and cinema. In addition, FIFA also offers year-round programming in Canada and abroad.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the National Gallery’s collaboration with FIFA. In recognition, we are pleased to present a virtual program of nine titles selected from the 2020 festival. Special thanks go to the FIFA team, with whom we hope to continue collaborating for years to come.
