Special Request Tours

Requests for winter/spring tours (January 6 – May 29, 2020) will be accepted from December 2, 2019 – May 2, 2020.

We are happy to work with you to customize a tour that meets the needs of your class or create a tour that closely connects to your curriculum. Please provide as much detail as possible. Tours focus on the Gallery's permanent collection only. Modern Art tours are only offered at: 12:30, 1:00 and 2:15.

Permanent Collection

Tours focus on the Gallery's permanent collection only.  Self-guided print and online resources for children are also available. Please note that tours are limited to 90 students. Modern Art tours are only offered at: 12:30, 1:00 and 2:15.

Religious Art Themes

Please note that the Christmas Story tour is limited to 60 students and the Stories from the Hebrew Bible tour is limited to 30 students.

Logistical Information

Length: 60 minutes for kindergarten through grade 3;
75 minutes for grades 4 through 12
Meeting Location: West Building Rotunda

Tours must be scheduled at least four weeks in advance. Groups must contain at least 15 students.

Once your tour has been scheduled, you will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail in 10 business days (14 days for Spanish-language tours).

Watch a video (grades 1-4) or download a presentation (grades 4-12) (PPT, 4MB) to show your students what to expect on their tour. Please review museum policies, location, parking, accessibility, security, lunch options, and other important visitor information.
